Prince Harry for Deployment?
February 29, 2008
Oh how cute doth the “bullet magnet” look?
Little Harry has been fighting in the front line against the Taliban.
I must say that it is commendable for him to be there. People’s sons and daughters are dying in Iraq and it’s amazing that Bush’s kids and nephews and all the rest are sitting comfortably enjoying the returns they’re having from their oil investments.
Oh! And where are Blair’s little ones???? Still in schl? But the war is soo NB!!!
Ohhh, the good life….
I guess there is a difference between royals and politicians after alll….

Do you reeeeally want to be US president?
February 28, 2008
When it comes to foreign policy the next US president has a lot on their plate – First of all, people can’t wait to boot Bush out of the seat and see how the next president will be handling foreign affairs such as the war in Iraq and the campaign against terrorism. We also have Iran and Korea trying to do their own dabbling with nucs.
Bush’s outlook on these policies have been mostly met with disdain from other countries thus giving the US a poor image – now it’s time for REBRANDING the US, so to speak – and we only need to wait and see how great a strategist the next US president will be. Just to say my two cent’s worth, I do not want to be any of those cats out there meowing for US Presidency. Whoever takes the cake though and does a great job at it will definitely go down in history… in a good way of course.
GOOD LUCK DAWGS!

Shaik bribed Zuma
February 27, 2008
Schabir Shaik has admitted that he DID bribe ANC president Jacob Zuma “with the intention to corrupt him”. – THE STAR
Well I’ll be damned!!!!!
Shocked????? IIIIIIIIIII don’t think so…..
Kinda obvious really – what was the dude doing in Mauritius last week, trying to bar evidence of some type against him?! Pure admision of guilt? Sorry, but you don’t have to be a whizkid to figure this one out.
“So what now?” – is the question we’re being asked….
Do you have to be a whizkid to find out what’s brewing in my mind?????????????

High Tech Skills’ Demand
February 27, 2008Apparently there is a slump in students registering for IT/Comp Sci and other related subjects. Ironically, these are the jobs in demand and they offer really good salaries even at a junior level. This is where the world is going and just about everyone will have to have some degree of IT knowledge.
Heck, I wish I actually registered for one of these when I was in college – I am in fact thinking of studying it part time.

OSCARS!
February 26, 2008
How can I not blog about the Oscars?!!!
- maybe it’s coz I didn’t get to watch
Well here’s the official website for the scoop.
It’s cool that we got to shine again – a film that was shot in SA, with an SA executive producer won the Best Documentary award – and it’s titled Taxi to the Dark Side. It’s part of a series of documentaries about democracy and how it’s being utilised or abused. Check out the site – it also has the trailer… [as of course, we'd expect it to.... : /]

Eskom Power Crisis – No joke
February 25, 20087000 jobs are about to be slashed by Gold Producer – Goldfields, due to the power crisis.
Deaths have occured in hospitals due to power crisis.
We are being continually reminded by those in power that our situation is not a unique one and the problem is worldwide. I don’t care for that – people’s lives are on the line and this is not the end of the knock on results of the crisis.
This guy has more on the crisis – be careful though, he’s a hater. Sure SA is crazy at the moment but hectic negativity isn’t gonna take us anywhere….

Rand Plunges after Budget Speech!
February 21, 2008
Oh Heavens! We be going for a nose dive now!!!! Come on Wilbur – it’s time to ride the storm!
Much like Mbeki in his State of the Nation Address, Manuel didn’t do much to comfort frightened foreign investors. Everyone was waiting to hear what he’d say in the speech, “anything to keep them poor dogs from licking them wounds”. But lo and behold! Alas! Nothing… only a little band aid for a broken leg.
So the Rand plunged to around R7.9 to the USD! Well sweethearts, we know Pecos Bill can ride a tornado all over the South – it’s time for us to tie our bootstraps and cry YEEE – HAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!! We’ll take it on BABY!
What he did do however was put money back into the pockets of ordinary people. But this brought on mixed reactions – Zuma especially felt that Manuel had gone against the policies agreed upon at Polokwane [Sorry, I don't care what Zuma thinks] - THE TIMES HAS MORE
